291: More Normality

Yes, another week without trauma or major incident.  Though this is good (very good) for me, I recognise that this might be a little boring for my readers.

I did think for a while about making up some sort of incident or situation but John has been listening to some political podcasts recently and I gather (from my eavesdropping) that the quality one needs these days is ‘authenticity’.   Some politicians evidently have it - but mainly overseas ones according to the podcasters.  I suspect that this simply shows that UK podcasters and political commentators know only a little about such politicians and if they knew more, the politicians would become unauthentic or inauthentic or whatever the word is.

However it did make me think twice about telling a few (white) lies to beef up my reputation (like that Mrs Reeves is alleged to have done on more than one occasion).

This means you are getting a wholly authentic blog post from a wholly authentic field spaniel and it also means I should be safe from the web police nd the thought police when they investigate this blog sometime in the future.

So, sorry if it’s boring - but it is authentic!
