285: I’m Hungry
I seem to be always hungry - even just after a meal. My beans find this both surprising and annoying, but they are not just a step away from being a wild animal, who has to take food wherever and whenever it is available.
I am - so I do.
Sometimes this puts me in situations that my beans find amusing. Just yesterday, for example, I went on my usual walk in the park early in the morning. Someone (bless their little, cotton socks) had put pieces of fruit on top of a wall just near to the park entrance we use. I don't understand why someone would cut up fruit and leave it there like this. I can only assume the fruit was left over from a picnic.
(What is it about cotton socks that we have to admire or praise? )
(Don’t answer that … I doubt it is interesting or important.)
Anyway, I digress.
Naturally, I was attracted by the smell of the fruit so I investigated. I couldn't quite reach the fruit so I had to stretch to my full extent. The pup (Phil), who goes for a walk or run and then meets us at the car for a lift home, found this so amusing he took a picture (which I am including) below) and suggested that I looked like an otter (whatever that is).
The main point to report is that I couldn't quite reach the fruit and john refused to move it within range.
What a disappointing start to the day.

(Incidentally, Phil has not learned the basics of photography and took this picture looking straight into the winter sun. It does not show me at my most beautifiul!).
