286: He’s Gone

Every so often, about 2 times a year, TOWTSH (John) disappears.  These disappearances are called ‘holidays’ and I gather this is something that human beans do. I think it’s a kind of mental and physical reset or reboot.  In John’s case it is surprising that he needs this, as his life is one of ease and relaxation.  I don’t  think he has any worries (except perhaps how to pay for all my medications.

Worse than this, the pup (Phil) has gone too.  He disappeared yesterday.  Only TOWTLH (Jacky) is left to look after me.  I have been listening hard to try and find out where he (or they, assuming the two of them  have gone together) have gone but Jacky doesn’t talk much when there is nowhere there.  Luckily she does talk rather a lot on the telephone and I managed to find out that they have gone to some kind of place or facility  though I am not sure where.

It’s not a spa or a retreat or a campsite … it’s a merica though I’m not sure what a merica is.  It must be a special merica because they have travelled a long way … about 3,000 miles.  You would thought they could have found a merica a bit nearer to home.

The frightening thing I found out is that they are going to be away for a long time.

What am I going to do?

Jacky will feed and medicate me, clean my eyes and my ears (don’t ask) but my walks will be less frequent and shorter.

Hurry home, John.
