265: Gone Again

The Pup has disappeared - for yet another holiday.  This time he's evidently gone for 7 weeks.  Why does he hate it here so much.

He is travelling by InterRail all across Europe - starting in Western Europe but then going to Eastern Europe like Romania and Bulgaria.  (Hope he doesn't get too near YouCrane.

He has to lug a fairly large suitcase everywhere he goes.  That alone, would put me off … though I've never lugged a suitcase in my life.  I get human beans to carry my stuff.

Anyway, he's chosen his trip and planned it all himself, so he must, presumably, enjoy the kind of experiences he is putting himself through.  He has been sensible enough to build in a couple of longer, beachside stays at the end of the trip before he comes home.

I would have thought he could have come home earlier instead and saved himself some money to buy me more treats. But, like most beans, its self, self, self - very little thought for the dogs of this world!

In spite of all my criticism, I do hope he is having a good time, enriching and enjoying himself. Is 'enriching' the right word to use here… I'm not talking about making himself wealthier - but expanding his mind, his knowledge, his cultural awareness.  This is what I do every day in the park - meeting new dogs (even sometimes of new breeds),  watching ever stranger human beans, smelling new smells- but with no suitcase in sight, no travel arrangements to make, no bills to pay.

Which of us makes the more sense?
