279: Double Trouble

I have a regular routine.  (Well, I suppose all routines are regular, aren’t they?)

This involves, inter alia, (a bit of Latin there to show I’m an educated dog) a morning walk in the park  and a couple of walks in the evening to ‘the borders’.  These are the garden borders outside of the front walls of the houses at ‘the’ end of our.road..   One in particular has some interesting things buried in it (some of which are edible) and I try to dig one up before John pulls me away.

John tries to take me out for more walks in the daytime but I tend to refuse.  A girl can have too much exercise, you know.

Anyway, on Thursday of this week at approx 7pm, John suggested we go for a walk. I agreed tail-waggingly, since I thought this was the first of my two borders walks.

But its was not.

John, presumably in heat-induced confusion or madness, had decided we would go to the park and walk round the little lake.  (Remember, I had been to the park already in the morning.)

Two park walks in one day are definitely not part of my routine.  I dug my heels in but John was having none of it. He, pulled, tugged snd dragged me to the car and we drove to the park. I ambled round as slowly as I could with my 'Not My Routine' expression on my face, but John didn't seem to care.

Can someone take him to a doctor - preferably a psychiatrist - before he starts distorting my routine altogether.
