Dogs would not - indeed could not - dream up anything so crazy snd so complex as the English language 

But things move on and I’ve kind of lost interest in becoming a business dog

 I just hope they don’t die while the pup is away. 

Surely a new normal is, by definition, abnormal.

Human beans are strange creatures.  They get worried about unimportant things and they attach huge importance to trivial matters.

How, then, has Santa judged me as only worthy of a single present … ONE!! 

 Mulled wine and mulled cider was consumed in great quantities.

I take medication (in the form of eye drops and eye cream) daily 

Nothing of note happened. Nothing went wrong. 

Not too bad for me since I have four legs and extraordinarily good balance…. But terrible for poor old John who has two legs and extraordinarily bad balance.
